Last Saturday our Men’s team took part in the first ever Gosforth 7’s tournament hosted by our friends at @gosforthrfc and managed to bring back some silverware as Plate Winners! 🏆
The team started strong with a 31-19 win against Prudhoe and Stocksfield, before two well fought defeats to the hosts, Gosforth (26-12), and the eventual cup winners Morpeth (41-7). A strong 33-22 win in the Plate semi-final against Gosforth Hurricanes, set up a Plate final against @tynedalerugby . Tries from Luke Pickerill and Kohki Nakajima, combined with a strong team performance meant that the Rockcliff men took a 24-19 victory and collected the silverware!
Well Done to the Rockcliff lads, a huge thank you to our hosts Gosforth RFC for organising a great tournament, and a congratulations must go to Morpeth, the Cup winners!
