Rockcliff's pre season preparations continued with a rearranged friendly against Counties 3 North East side Washington.
The game saw a number of players making their senior debuts for Rockcliff, notably Ben Shardlow playing alongside his father, Drew.
Six tries and three conversions to one try and a conversion saw Rockcliff heading into the final quarter of the game with the score at 36-7.
Rockcliff's scores came from scrum half Billy Bloomfield with two tries, and a try apiece from captain for the day Kieran Tweedy, Evan Bradford, Matty Brister and Matt Ginger. Bradford slotted home two conversions, with Michael Hansen adding a third.
Washington's try came from Sean Dico, converted by Matthew Clark.
As the game was drawing to a close, a sweeping move down the left wing saw Billy Bloomfield and Matty Brister combine to send Kieran Tweedy in under the posts for his second try of the match. Michael Marvell converted for 43-7 at full time.
Sam Owens took the player of the match plaudit for Rockcliff, with Michael Clark taking the honours for Washington.
